Red Tank Draw has a historic population of Federally endangered Gila Chub (Gila sp.), unfortunately non-native fish have also invaded this steam. Last week Arizona Game and Fish biologists removed 107 Black Bullhead Catfish and 32 Green Sunfish. The removal of these predatory fish should allow the Gila Chub to persist and expand their range within the creek.
